PL BioScience hPL proves potential in ‘Nature’
“We demonstrate that human platelet lysate (hPL) can replace hS in macrophage cultivation […].” – Our human Platelet Lysate is part of a recent scientific article published in the ‘Nature’ Journal. The study analyses the usage of human Platelet Lysate (hPL), human Serum (hS) and Fetal Calf Serum (FCS) for co-culture of human macrophages and hMSCs. As as a result, the authors constitute human Platelet Lysate “[…] to be the best option for co-cultivation of human macrophages with hMSCs.”
Furthermore, the study proves another advantage of our hPL: “In contrast to FCS and hS, hPL maintained the phenotype of both cell types, comparable to that of their respective standard culture serum, as well as the percentage of each cell population.”
One more time, this study shows the benefits of human Platelet Lysate for culture of human cells. To learn more about human Platelet Lysate, visit our product page.
