Marketing Specialist (m/f/d)
For 10 years PL BioScience has been manufacturing animal-free cell culture products that are used in basic research, translational research and cell therapy around the world. With our team of interdisciplinary specialists, we are passionate about accelerating biomedical developments through our sustainable Human Platelet Lysate (HPL) products.
To strengthen our Marketing & Sales team and support the promotion of our HPL products, we are looking for a dedicated Marketing Specialist (m/f/d).

Your Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute marketing strategies that effectively position our products in the international target markets.
- Lead Generation: Develop and implement comprehensive lead generation strategies aligned with the company’s goals and target audience.
- Product Promotion: Create compelling content (datasheets, website content, social media posts) that highlights the value of our products to various customer segments.
- Digital Marketing: Manage and optimize digital marketing channels, including the company website, email campaigns, and social media platforms.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning. Use insights to adapt marketing strategies.
- Sales Support: Work closely with the sales colleagues to develop supporting materials, such as product presentations and technical documentation.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Track, measure, and report the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns.
- Event Management: Organize and promote company participation in trade shows, webinars, and other events to increase brand visibility.
- Travel Requirements: Represent the company and coordinate on-site marketing efforts at industry events and client meetings, which may require travel up to 30% of the time.
Your Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Communication, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the biotechnology, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, content creation, and campaign management.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
- Creativity and adaptability to excel in the fast-evolving biotechnology industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with marketing automation tools and CRM software, SEO and analytics tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Your Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be an essential part of our laboratory team, supporting the development, production, and testing of our innovative HPL products. Your daily tasks will include:
- Designing and executing laboratory experiments using biotechnological and biochemical methods.
- Working with cell cultures, including human and animal cell lines, as well as primary cells.
- Cultivating cells under GxP conditions and maintaining a reliable cell banking system.
- Developing and optimizing protocols for the production of Human Platelet Lysates (HPL).
- Planning and conducting in vitro studies and performing cell culture performance tests.
- Analyzing, documenting, and reporting results with precision and accuracy.
- Establishing detection methods for various biological molecules.
- Organizing the laboratory space and ensuring the proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Maintaining quality assurance and following GxP standards.
What You Bring to the Table
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Must-haves
- Completed training as BTA, MTLA, Biology Lab Assistant, or a B.Sc. in Biotechnology (or related field) with hands-on lab experience.
- Practical experience working with cell lines and primary cells.
- Proficiency in cell culture and biotechnology techniques — experience with stem cells or Human Platelet Lysates (HPL) is a strong advantage.
Personal Skills
- Proactive and goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a structured, accurate approach to lab work.
- Curiosity and passion for learning new methods and techniques.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Solid experience with MS Office and familiarity with analytical software such as GraphPad.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Support daily warehouse operations, including goods receiving, storage, and order preparation.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through careful stock management and monitoring.
